Riding 200–300km a day over rough terrain works your core, back and neck. A few weeks of prep pays off.
Key Riding Guidance & Highlights
You don't need to be an athlete to ride with us — but the riders who prepare their bodies a few weeks out have noticeably better trips. Riding 200–300km a day over rough terrain is a full-body workout, especially for your core, lower back and neck.
Three weeks out, focus on
- Core and lower back: planks, bird-dogs and light deadlifts stabilise you against constant vibration and standing on the pegs
- Stamina: walking, cycling or swimming builds the cardio base that helps you cope with thin mountain air
- Neck and wrists: a helmet, wind and long days fatigue these fast — simple daily stretches make a real difference
On the ride itself
Stretch your forearms, wrists and neck at every fuel and chai stop. Ten seconds each keeps stiffness from building over a long day.
Our tip: You don't need a gym. Consistency beats intensity — twenty minutes most days for three weeks will transform how the saddle feels by day five of your guided motorcycle tour.
