Regular breaks every 60–90 minutes — built into every day.
Hydrate constantly and eat light; heavy meals cause drowsiness.
If you're tired, tell your Marshal — the van seat is always there.

Fatigue is the quiet danger on a long tour. It builds slowly and slows your reactions before you notice — which is exactly why our days are paced and structured to keep you fresh, not to rack up maximum kilometres.

Why it matters at altitude

Thin air, sun, wind and vibration tire you faster than riding at sea level. A tired rider misreads a corner or a loose patch.

How we manage it — and how you help

  • Regular breaks every 60–90 minutes, built into every day
  • Constant hydration and light meals; heavy, carb-loaded lunches cause afternoon drowsiness
  • Sunglasses and proper eye protection cut the fatigue that glare causes
  • If you're tired, say so — a seat in the support van for an hour is always available, no judgement

Our tip: Listen to your body over your ego. The rider who takes an hour in the afternoon often rides the evening’s best section strong and smiling on motorcycle tours.
