After checking in, you are free to wander the meadows if you wish. Get back to the hotel in the evening for orientation and group meet up. Sonamarg Alt. - 9100 ft. Kargil Alt. - 8780 Ft. Key Attractions - Drass memorial, Zoji La Pass, Machoi Glacier

Wake up early & reach the parking to check if your luggage has been placed well in the backup vehicle. Soon after we got through the police checkpoint, we start ascending Zoji la, the infamous pass. Innumerous factors make the roads unpredictable - deep gorge, muddy roads, water crossing. The road is designed to test your endurance and skills, witness the glacier once reaching the top point. Afterwards, this treacherous drive takes you to the second coldest inhabited town of Dras. You realise insufficient carb power as you cruise towards Kargil for nice dinner and stay. Ironically to pain in your bum and shoulders, your eyes contend- ice, alpines, wild horse & the Himalayas. We stop at Kargil Memorial to pay tribute to martyr soldiers. Do not forget to gaze at stars at night, if you did; you missed something stunning. Overnight at Kargil hotel.

Day 3 - Kargil - Lamayuru – Leh (225 Km)

Kargil Alt. - 8780 feet Leh Alt. - 11500Ft Key Attractions - Fotu La, Namik La, Lamayuru, Moonland of Ladakh

We walk past the historic city to cruise on NH 1D again. Unlike yesterday’s terrain, we glide through two higher passes Namika La (12,139 feet) and Fotu La (13,478 feet). Lowered carb power and headache is a mere symptom that you are flying high. Catch a glimpse of one of the Oldest monasteries while riding across Lamayuru. For selfie break, you land your ride at the moon land of Ladakh. The magnetic hill pulls you away from Lamayuru. You better reach Leh before its dark; the chilling temperature may freeze you to the bones. Overnight stay at Leh Hotel.

Day 4 - Rest day at Leh

Leh Altitude - 11500Ft Key Attractions - Shanti Stupa, Thiksey monastery, Shey Palace, Magnetic Hill, Indus - Zanskar Confluence

After riding on such rugged terrains, leave the bike at the hotel for maintenance & a thorough check-up. For today, please use the local commute modes – public transport or rent a car. You may rent a bicycle to burn a few calories. On the leisure day, feel free to explore the Leh city and its numerous monasteries. Go around the market & taste authentic Ladakhi food with salted tea made of Yak milk. Come back to the hotel for dinner in the evening. Overnight at the Hotel at Leh.

Leh Alt. - 11500Ft Pangong Alt. - 15280 feet Key Attractions - Kang Yisay, Pangong Lake, Chang La Pass

En route Pangong, you ride uphill on earthen and gravel roads to mighty Chang La (17,580 Ft). From the top, you may catch the glimpse of Kang Yisay top of Hemis National Park. Eventually, it reminds you of how small are you on the earth. You will forget the count of the numerous small water streams on the road, which keeps flooding your mud wrapped bike before you finally reach the lake. Do not stop at every other point to take photos, unless you wish to miss the sunset view at Pangong Lake. Overnight stay at the camp near the Lake.
It may not be the best place you stayed in past, but remember the fact of how much is produced or manufactured in Ladakh. Probably, each amenity that you enjoy has travelled a thousand km to serve you. So, praise the hardship your host & enjoy an evening soul-searching walk on the beautiful blue lake bank.

Pangong Alt. - 15280 feet Nubra Alt. - 10080 feet Key Attractions - Karakoram Mountain Range, Shyok River

This is not a joyous day for you if you don't love trading your way in mud & water roads. You face hilly curves at the beginning, accompanied by the roar of Shyok. Look at the mountains across the river on your right side, that would be Karakoram mountain ranges. Sandstorm and rolling stones are very usual, just like Water crossings. Later the river following you will take over your road in the form of a few huge water crossings. If you happen to be lucky sandstorm will further come to greet you. Once you reach the campsite, enjoy the evening with bonfire & music. Overnight stay at the camp.

Soon after we head to the last Indo Pak border town – Thang which is just 3 km from actual line of control. You have to be there to understand rider's feeling of the farthest village of India. We will return to the Nubra valley in the evening and Visit the dunes famous for its humped Bactrian camel. Overnight at Nubra Camp.

Day 8 - Nubra - Khardung La – Leh (140 Km)

Steep turns, low oxygen & weather unpredictability ranks the ride among the most challenging ride. We will make a photo stop at the top for the customary photograph with the landmark board. While you ride for the top of the world, you understand the toll it takes to build a road this altitude. After the joyous celebration, we now ride downhill to catch a breath & some tea at Pullu. Later, we dug-dug further to the Himalayan sand desert. After the joyous celebration, we drive downhill for Kilometers, feels scary while looking at endless downhill roads. The grand road welcomes you back to Leh.
