Day-wise itinerary as you witness the route

Tour Route Details

Day 1 - Shimla - Rampur

The travellers are requested to reach the meeting point before 9 AM. After a short orientation and introduction, we will start the expedition to the blissful views of the Sutlej valley. The journey will take you through the Apple lands of Himachal to the Kinnaur valley through the serpentine mountain edge cliff-hanger road. On the road, witness the slow-moving beautiful river of Setluj. While travelling across a few small towns, witness the magnificently changing landscapes with tiny hamlet shaped villages reminding the human presence in the winter land.

How to reach Shimla.
There are two ways to do so - fly to Delhi and by road go to Shimla or Fly to Chandigarh and travel by road to Shimla. Reach a day ahead if you wish to spend the night at Shimla.

Day 2 - Rampur - Kalpa/Sangla

Pose for the welcome photograph at Kinnaur Rock gate. Do not forget to click some wonderful shots at the arch bridge near Tranda. Once the vehicle starts climbing the narrow roads after the dam, turn around to see the most amazing sunset. Enjoy the natural charm of the place and the warmth of hospitality extended by the inhabitants of the old villages. Overnight at Sangla Valley (either at Kalpa or Sangla)

Day 3 - Kalpa/Sangla - Tabo

After a good breakfast, we will head out towards the Indo - Chinese border village surrounded by the white mountains. Enjoy the view of the Baspa River near the Raksham village. The cliffhanger view of the valley is the one breathtaking part of the Spiti Adventure. Upon reaching the village, enjoy the view or a walk to the river. Later, we will head back to the Baspa - Sutlej confluence to catch up with the national highway to Tabo. The mountain will become barren as we travel along the Spiti river onto the higher altitudes of Khab and Nako. The patch offers the best views of serpentine roads on the whole trip. The ascend will be gradual once you reach Sumdo. Overnight stay at Tabo under the stars.

Day 4 - Tabo - Kaza

After breakfast, take a walk around the village before we will head to one of the oldest monasteries in the whole valley (1200 years). Later, we will continue to one more marvel - the Dhankar monastery (believed to be sitting in the Buddha's Lotus with eight mountain-shaped petals.) If time allows us, we will explore the other side of Spiti River, mapping yellow and bumpy roads to the Mud Village (Purely subject to weather and available time). Make dream-like Instagram reels at the Mikkim bridge on Pin River. Enjoy the serene view of the multi-colour mountains of the Pin valley National park once you reach Mud village. Later, we will continue our expedition to Kaza. Overnight stay Kaza.

Day 5 - Kaza Local - Measuring height

This is the day to travel to the highest points of the journey. At first, we visit the world's highest post office at Hikkim. Send a postcard to the loved ones (which might reach them in the next three months). Later, We will visit the highest village connected to a motorable road - Komic at 15027 ft. Take a walk around the neatly packed small village. We will then head to meet Buddha at Langza, looking into the mesmerising valley and smiling at you. Try a ginger lemon tea at a nearby cafe. Talk to the locals and understand the water crisis at such altitudes. Later, we will continue our expedition to Key Monastery, a monastery where time flies. Later we will go back to our hotel for our night stay.

Day 6 - Kaza - Kalpa

After we have a delicious breakfast, we will head back to the Kinnaur valley. Keep your cameras fully charged as you will get the opportunity to capture those locations you missed earlier. We will start early and descend quickly to the slightly lower altitudes. We, Will, stay at the headquarter of Kinnaur valley - Kalpa. Stay in a hotel overlooking the Kinnar-Kailash mountains. If the winter hits you hard, try chilli seasoned Thukpa at the local market to beat the winters.

Day 7 - Kalpa - Shimla

If you are an early bird, you will get to enjoy the warmth of beautiful sun appearing from the lurks of the white Kinnar-Kailash range. After breakfast, we will start early on this day. We will ride along the highways laid on the mountains at the Sutlej river valley. We will bid goodbye to the Sutlej river and head to Shimla road. Enjoy every last most moment of this journey. Upon reaching Shimla, bid farewell to each other. Here onwards, we leave for our lives and cities. Book your further travel with enough buffer time.
