The middle land between India and Tibet is a bucket list destination for every adventure enthusiast. While there are numerous valleys of Himachal, Spiti stands unique. The entire valley is located between 3000 to 4600 meters. It is cold and barren land. With red stripes running across the flat-roofed white houses, the valley offers unique landscapes. Travel on the twisting roads of Spiti valley along the rugged mountains and explore the valleys of Himachal.

Motorcycle Tour Route Details

Day 1 - Arrival at Manali

Manali Alt. - 2000 m

Welcome to the doorway of wanderlust - Manali. Our team will assist you to check in at the hotel. Early birds may head to explore mall road, Hidimba Temple and Jogini waterfall. We will meet in the evening for the induction program and discuss the roadmap, ride methods and pitfalls. Overnight at Manali.

Day 2 - Manali to Jibhi

Manali Alt. - 2000 m Jibhi Alt. - 1210 m

After breakfast, we wander around the Kullu Valley. Please assemble in the parking after loading your luggage in the backup vehicle. We, at first alongside Beas river till we crossed Kullu. Upon crossing Bhuntar, we will come across a dark tunnel opening to the Beas-Sainj confluence. From there, we will ride on narrow mountain roads to Jibhi surrounded by a breathtaking valley. Witness the water turning clearer as you ride along the pine tree jungle. Enjoy the yet uncommercialised heaven in the lap of the mountains. Overnight stay at Jibhi

Day 3 - Jibhi – Jalori - Sangla

Jibhi Alt. - 1210 m Sangla Alt. - 2621 m

If you wake up early, trek to the small river. After breakfast, we will endeavour to the Kinnaur valley through the Jalori Pass. Witness the old house made of mud, wood and stone. Witness numerous waterfalls (special ones without a visible source). Later ride through a broad yet exciting cliffhanger road in the Kinnaur valley. Pose for the welcome photograph at Kinnaur Rock gate. Do not forget to capture the arch bridge near Tranda. Once the vehicle starts climbing the narrow roads after the dam, turn around to see the stunning sunset. Enjoy the natural charm of the place and the warmth of hospitality extended by the inhabitants of the old villages. Overnight at Sangla Valley which houses apple orchards.

Day 4 - Sangla - Chitkul - Kalpa

Sangla Alt. - 2621 m Kalpa Alt. – 2960 m

After a good breakfast and a warm cup of tea, we will head out towards the Indo - Chinese border village surrounded by the white mountains. Enjoy the view of the Blue waters of the Baspa River near the Raksham village. The cliffhanger view of the valley is the one breathtaking part of the Spiti Adventure. Upon reaching Chitkul, enjoy the view with a cup of coffee or a walk to the river. This patch may be the scariest road - a narrow cliffhanger road. The thrill will continue till the Raksham bridge. Later, we will head back to the Baspa - Sutlej confluence to catch up with the national highway to Kalpa. Enjoy the sunset at the suicide point and the view of Kinnar-Kailash. Overnight at the Kalpa.

Day 5 - Kalpa - Tabo

Kalpa Alt. – 2960 m Tabo Alt. – 3280 m

After breakfast, we will ride to the headquarter of Spiti valley. The roads to pooh are smooth like the warm sunrise. Watch out for the rolling stone coming down the mountain. Ride on the winding twisty roads with the most stunning views. The barren lands of Spiti valley welcome you to Khab with a stunning view of the merger of the Sutlej and Spiti rivers. Turns by turn, the horizon and the mountain peaks will inch closer. Grab a bite of energy at the Nako top. You will ride on the dirt trail with a steep descent along the Spiti river. After reaching Nako town, you may relax under the stars with the enchanting sound of the Spiti river.

Day 6 - Tabo – Kaza

Tabo Alt. – 3280 m Kaza Alt. - 3800 m

Tabo is an old religious town preserving generations' heritage. Take a walk to village monasteries older than 1000 years. We will continue to the Dhankar monastery. As per local beliefs, the monastery sits in the Buddha's Lotus with eight mountain-shaped petals. Try meditation there to ward off evil. If time and road conditions allow us, we will explore the other side of the Spiti River, mapping yellow and bumpy roads to the Mud Village (Purely subject to weather & available time). Enjoy the serene view of the multi-colour mountains of the Pin valley National Park once you reach Mud village. Later, we will continue our expedition to Kaza. Overnight stay Kaza. Take a walk in the old Kaza and try buckthorn drink and Thiang Mo (Buckwheat bread) at homestay cafes.

Day 7 - Kaza- Langza - Hikkim - Komic - Kaza

Kaza Alt. - 3800 m Komic Alt. – 4587 m

We need to start very early today. It's a long day. First, visit the world's highest post office at Hikkim & send a postcard to the loved ones (which might reach them in the next three months). Later, we will visit the highest village connected to a motorable road - Komic at 15027 ft. Afterwards, we will head to meet Buddha at Langza, looking into the mesmerising valley and smiling at you. Try ginger lemon tea with almonds and apricot at a nearby cafe. Towards the end of the day, pay a visit to the Key Monastery & imbibe the prayer hymns in you. Overnight stay at Kaza.

Day 8 - Kaza - Chandra Tal

Kaza Alt. - 3800 m Chandra Tal Alt. - 4250 m

We will start riding Moon Lake. We will ride to one of the highest suspension bridges in the world at 4150 m situated at Chichcam. Apart from being Most Instagramable place, the bridge is wow for its 150m deep gorge. (Imagine dropping a stone which takes 16 seconds to touch the water). We will continue the ride on one of the most scenic routes of the ride to Losar via Kibber wildlife sanctuary. Take a sip of tea at the last tea point. You ride on the dirt, high cliff, water crossing, sharp turns, blind spots etc. Take a minute to take blessings at Kunzum Mata temple at Kunzum Pass at 14931 Ft. We will continue descending towards Chandratal on a road suitable just for 1 car. Park your horses with wheels at the last motorable point & trek to witness the ultimate time-lapse of The Moon Lake. We will later ride to the campsite & enjoy the coldest night with a warm supper.

Day 9 - Chandratal - Manali

Chandra Tal Alt. - 4250 m Manali Alt. - 2000 m

After being mesmerised by the sunrise and heavy breakfast, we gear up to leave for Manali. Ride on the same 'Just one vehicle road' till you join the Manali Kaza highway. Enjoy a warm meal at Chacha-Chachi Dhaba before we explore the offroad heaven. After the meal, we will ride on the road of big boulders and river stones. Saddle through the bumpiest path with many surprises till Chhatru After crossing a few mountains and a 9 Km long Atal tunnel, we will make it to Manali. We enjoy the moments of the trip at the dinner table at the hotel. Overnight at Manali.

Day 10 - Departure from Manali

After breakfast, we bid farewell to our fellow riders, sharing our unforgettable memories. You joined us as an unknown, turning a team, sharing a rider's bond.
