Day 1: Arrive In Manali

Your Spiti Valley adventure kicks off the moment you set foot in Manali. Nestled in the heart of Himachal, with the Beas River flowing and pine forests surrounding the town, Manali isn’t just a stop — it’s the prologue to your mountain story.

 

Spend your day soaking in the unique blend of peace and buzz that makes Manali irresistible, Explore Adventure activities like zipline, paragliding in Solang Valley, Visit Hadimba Temple or Pick a souvenirs from Manali road but by evening return to the hotel for the most awaited Orientation session where you will meet your tour manager and fellow riders.

Day 2: Manali to Jibhi

After breakfast, gear up for a scenic ride from Manali to the hidden gem of Himachal — Jibhi. As you cruise through winding mountain roads, the landscape shifts from bustling hill towns to serene pine forests and untouched valleys. Take a break at the Jibhi Waterfall, where icy waters cascade through dense woods — the perfect spot to refresh and reconnect with nature.

Day 3: Jibhi to Sangla

Start the day with a peaceful riverside trek before heading out toward Kinnaur Valley. Ascend the steep, narrow roads of Jalori Pass, then descend through scenic apple orchards and waterfalls en route to Rampur. From there, the adventure intensifies on the dramatic cliffside roads of Kinnaur. Stop at the iconic Kinnaur Rock Gate and brace yourself for the narrow, thrilling stretch past Karcham Dam—famously dubbed “The Scariest Road of India.” End the day in the tranquil Sangla Valley, surrounded by apple orchards. 

 

Pro Tip: Follow the tour manager, and don’t overtake as you will be riding through one of the world's most dangerous Roads.

Day 4: Sangla to Kalpa

Begin your day with a refreshing stroll through Sangla’s apple orchards before riding toward Chitkul, the last village near the Indo-China border. The route along the Baspa River is scenic yet adventurous, with narrow, broken cliffside roads that add to the thrill. Once in Chitkul, take in the stunning views, sip a warm coffee, and wander along the riverbanks. After soaking in the serenity, ride back and head to Kalpa for the night, surrounded by majestic views of the Kinnaur Kailash range.

Day 5: Kalpa to Kaza

Wake up to stunning views of Kinner Kailash before setting off toward Spiti Valley. Enjoy the hairpin bends and the occasional falling rocks keeping you on alert. As the greenery fades, barren, dramatic mountains take over.

Stop at Khab to witness the epic confluence of the Sutlej and Spiti Rivers, then ascend to Nako for a quick break at high altitude. From there, brace yourself for rough dirt trails hugging the Spiti River, offering both thrills and incredible views.

Pass the historic Tabo Monastery before reaching Kaza, the heart of Spiti.

Day 6: Explore Kaza

Kick off the day with a ride to Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office—send a postcard from 14,400 ft! Then ascend to Komic, the world’s highest motorable village at 15,027 ft, surrounded by fossil-rich terrain and snow-draped peaks.

Next, visit the serene Buddha statue in Langza, offering panoramic views and a peaceful tea break at a local café. Wrap up the day at the awe-inspiring Key Monastery, soaking in its spiritual energy and ancient chants.

Return to Kaza for a restful night under the stars, reflecting on a day spent at the top of the world.

Day 7: Kaza to Chandratal

Gear up for a legendary ride to the mystical Chandratal (Moon Lake). First stop: the sky-high Chicham Bridge at 4,150m—one of the world’s highest suspension bridges, spanning a dramatic 150m gorge.

Cruise past Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary toward Losar, navigating a mix of rugged trails, water crossings, and steep cliffs. After a brief stretch of smooth tarmac, brace yourself for the wild Royal Enfield off-roading route toward Kunzum La (4,551m). Pause at Kunzum Mata Temple to seek blessings before the final challenge.

Descend a narrow, single-lane dirt road to reach the last motorable point near Chandratal. From there, hike 2 km to the stunning Moon Lake, where shifting sunlight creates a magical, ever-changing landscape.

End the day at a remote campsite with a warm meal and a canopy of stars—your coldest but most unforgettable night yet

 

Pro Tip: Chandratal is the coldest night of the tour—layer up, carry thermals, and try to keep yourself warm and hydrated (avoid drinking).

Day 8: Chandratal to Manali

Wake up to a magical sunrise over Chandratal, a fitting farewell to your high-altitude camping experience. After breakfast, begin the return ride toward the Manali-Kaza Highway.

Stop at the iconic Chacha-Chachi Dhaba for a warm meal and a dose of legendary Spitian hospitality. Then, tackle the final off-roading challenge—an intense stretch of rocky terrain through Chhatru that will test your skills and endurance one last time.

The ride concludes with a dramatic pass through the 9 km-long Atal Tunnel before rolling into Manali. Celebrate your epic adventure with a farewell dinner, sharing stories and laughter from the unforgettable journey. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 9: Departure from Manali

It's time to bid farewell to the majestic Himalayas and the unforgettable Spiti adventure. As you pack your bags and take one last stroll through Manali, the memories of high passes, remote trails, and newfound friendships linger.

Best time to visit Spiti Valley

The ideal time to explore Spiti Valley is from June to September, when the high mountain passes are open, and the weather is relatively stable. During this time:

  • Roads via Manali and Kinnaur are accessible, allowing for a complete circuit through the valley.
  • Daytime temperatures are pleasant (15–20°C), perfect for riding, and sightseeing.
  • Monsoon is mild in Spiti due to its rain-shadow location, making it the ideal time.
  • Landscapes are at their most dramatic, with clear skies, snow-capped peaks, and blooming valleys.

Outside this window, heavy snowfall often blocks key routes, especially via Manali and Kunzum Pass, making riding difficult.

Food To Expect in Spiti Valley

Mobile Network and ATM Availability in Spiti

Mobile Network Update:

1. Network Availability: Both prepaid and postpaid SIMs work in Spiti, but Airtel Postpaid offers the most reliable coverage.

2. Weak or No Signal: Limited or no network in Chandratal and Chitkul.

3. Pro Tip: Don’t depend on mobile data—download offline maps and inform loved ones before entering no-signal zones.

ATM Availability in Spiti Valley:

Spiti has very few ATMs, and digital payments are unreliable in remote areas. It is essential to carry sufficient cash

1. ATMs Available In: Manali, Kaza, Kalpa, Rampur

2.No ATMs In: Chitkul, Chandratal
