Day 01 : Arrival in Kochi

Arrive in Cochin (Kochi), Kerala’s historic port city and a long-time crossroads of global trade. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by the Dream Riders team and assisted with your transfer to the hotel. 

The day is kept relaxed to help you recover from long travel. In the evening, enjoy a detailed orientation covering the route, riding guidelines, safety protocols, and cultural insights. 

The day concludes with a warm welcome dinner, offering a relaxed setting to connect with fellow riders from around the world. It’s the perfect opportunity to share stories, build camaraderie, and begin the adventure together on a friendly and memorable note

Day 02 : Kochi - Athirapally (70 KM | 2 - 3 Hrs)

After breakfast, you begin your first riding day, departing the historic coastal plains of Kochi and heading inland toward the lush tropical interiors of Kerala. The ride introduces you to India’s diverse road character—blending urban exits, village corridors, and gradually unfolding forested stretches. Coconut groves, paddy fields, and riverside settlements accompany you as you settle into your motorcycle and riding rhythm.

As the route progresses, the landscape grows denser and greener, with winding roads cutting through rubber plantations and moist deciduous forests. The air becomes cooler and more fragrant as you approach the Athirapally region, often referred to as the “Niagara of India.”

Upon arrival, you check in to your nature resort nestled amidst thick greenery. The highlight of the day is visiting the majestic Athirapally Waterfalls, where powerful cascades plunge dramatically into rocky pools below. You may also explore nearby forest viewpoints or simply relax to the sound of rushing water.

The evening is spent unwinding in tranquil surroundings, allowing you to fully relax and ease into the slower rhythm of Kerala. Surrounded by lush greenery  it marks a gentle and refreshing transition from international travel into the region’s wild tropical landscapes, setting a calm and welcoming tone for the journey ahead.

Day 03 : Athirapally – Nilambur (160 KM | 4 - 5 Hrs)

Today’s ride takes you deeper into Kerala’s forest heartland. After breakfast, you depart Athirapally and continue along scenic roads that weave through dense vegetation, river crossings, and plantation belts. The riding terrain is smooth yet engaging, with gentle bends and shaded corridors offering a relaxed but immersive motorcycling experience.

As you advance northward, rubber estates gradually give way to teak plantations and moist forest reserves. The route remains visually rich, with occasional wildlife sightings and sweeping canopy tunnels enhancing the sense of adventure.

You arrive in Nilambur by afternoon, a charming town known for one of the oldest teak plantations in the world. After hotel check-in, take some time to relax and settle in. Later, you may visit the Teak Museum to explore the region’s rich forestry heritage, or enjoy a peaceful walk through the Conolly Plot plantation trails, surrounded by towering teak trees and a calm, natural setting

The slower pace of Nilambur offers a peaceful contrast to the previous day’s waterfalls. Surrounded by greenery and colonial forestry legacy, the evening is ideal for relaxation, photography, and informal rider interactions as the expedition gradually ascends toward Kerala’s highland regions.

Day 04 : Nilambur – Wayanad (100 KM | 2 - 3 Hrs)

Post breakfast, the expedition resumes toward the elevated landscapes of Wayanad. The ride begins through forest‑lined state highways before transitioning into winding ghat roads that signal your entry into the Western Ghats highlands. The air cools noticeably as altitude increases, and the riding becomes more thrilling  with hairpin bends and sweeping mountain curves.

Dense forests flank both sides of the route, interspersed with spice gardens and tribal hamlets. The terrain feels remote and immersive, offering riders a strong sense of wilderness exploration.

By afternoon, you arrive in Wayanad, one of Kerala’s most pristine hill districts. After a comfortable hotel check-in, the remainder of the day is at leisure. You may choose to visit nearby waterfalls, explore scenic plantation trails, or simply relax and take in the panoramic valley views, soaking in the calm and refreshing atmosphere of the hills.

The evening brings cooler temperatures, mist-laden air, and a serene mountain ambiance that gently wraps around the landscape. Day 05 : Wayanad Local Exploration (50 KM | 2 - 3 Hrs)

Today is dedicated to exploring Wayanad’s natural and cultural treasures without the pressure of long‑distance riding. After a relaxed breakfast, you set out on shorter scenic rides through plantation belts and forest corridors that define the region’s geography.

You may visit ancient tribal villages to understand indigenous lifestyles that have coexisted with these forests for centuries. Stops at cascading waterfalls and hidden viewpoints offer photographic and experiential richness.

The riding remains light and enjoyable, allowing you to absorb the landscape at a slower, more immersive pace—coffee estates, pepper vines, and cardamom groves gently lining the hillsides. The calm surroundings and unhurried rhythm create the perfect setting to truly connect with the region’s natural beauty, with plenty of opportunities to pause, take photographs, and simply take in the views.

Optional visits include Edakkal Caves or Banasura Sagar viewpoints, depending on group preference and time flow, adding a sense of exploration and discovery to the day while still maintaining its relaxed and enriching character.

Day 06 : Wayanad - Ooty (120 KM | 3 - 4 Hrs)

After breakfast, you depart Wayanad and set out on a scenic cross-state ride toward the charming hill station of Ooty in Tamil Nadu. The route takes you through forested corridors and gradually ascending ghat sections, offering a mix of smooth tarmac and winding mountain roads. As you leave Kerala behind, the terrain subtly shifts, with dense greenery giving way to more open highland landscapes.

The ride is engaging yet rewarding, with multiple elevation changes, sweeping curves, and occasional viewpoints that showcase the vast expanse of the Nilgiri Hills. Traffic remains moderate, allowing you to maintain a steady pace while enjoying the transitions in scenery and climate.

After breakfast, the day is dedicated to exploring Ooty and its surrounding highland beauty at a relaxed pace. Following a more intensive riding schedule in the previous days, this serves as a well-balanced pause to enjoy the Nilgiri Hills without long-distance travel.

You begin with a short ride or drive to key viewpoints around Ooty, where rolling hills, eucalyptus forests, and vast tea estates define the landscape. Visits may include Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiris offering panoramic valley views, and the serene Ooty Lake, where you can enjoy a peaceful walk along the shoreline. You may also explore the beautifully maintained Government Botanical Gardens, showcasing rare plant species and colonial-era landscaping.

For a more enriching experience ,consider a ride on the historic Nilgiri Mountain Railway, a UNESCO-listed heritage train journey through tunnels, bridges, and mist-covered hills. Additional stops such as Tea Factory & Museum, Pykara Lake and Waterfalls, nearby scenic drives toward Coonoor elevate the day’s experience.

Day 08 : Ooty to Munnar (240 KM | 6 - 7 Hrs)

After breakfast, you depart Ooty and begin a long yet rewarding ride toward Munnar, transitioning from the Nilgiri Hills of Tamil Nadu back into Kerala’s highland tea country. The route unfolds through a mix of winding ghat sections, forest corridors, and open highland stretches, offering a dynamic riding day with continuous elevation changes and sweeping curves.

As you leave Ooty, the early section features cool mountain air, eucalyptus-lined roads, and panoramic viewpoints. Descending gradually, the landscape shifts through valleys and agricultural belts before climbing again into the lush Western Ghats. The terrain becomes increasingly scenic, with tea estates reappearing across rolling hills and mist often drifting across the road.

Regular breaks are planned to maintain a comfortable pace and allow time for photography and refreshments. Traffic conditions vary between quiet hill roads and occasional town crossings, but the overall ride remains engaging and well-paced for touring riders.

By late afternoon or early evening, you arrive in Munnar, one of South India’s most iconic hill stations. After breakfast, the day is dedicated to exploring Munnar and its surrounding highlands. Short, scenic rides take you through rolling tea estates, mist-covered valleys, and quiet plantation roads that define Munnar’s character.

You begin with visits to key viewpoints such as Top Station or Pothamedu, offering expansive views across layered hills and valleys. A stop at the Tea Museum provides insight into the region’s colonial heritage and the evolution of tea cultivation in South India. The ride continues toward Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point, where calm waters and surrounding hills create ideal settings for photography and short walks.

The day’s pace remains flexible, allowing time for café stops, local market visits, or simply enjoying the cool mountain climate. Traffic is minimal on most routes, making for an easy and enjoyable riding experience.

What riding experience is required for this tour?

Riders should be comfortable handling mid-weight motorcycles on mixed terrain, including mountain roads, curves, and varying weather conditions. Prior long-distance touring experience is recommended but not mandatory.

What cultural activities are included in the tour?

The journey offers immersive cultural experiences such as visits to spice plantations, tea estates, heritage towns, traditional markets, and historic landmarks. Riders also experience Kerala’s rural village life, local cuisine, and regional traditions along the route.

What documents are required for international riders?

International participants must carry a valid motorcycle driving license from their home country, an International Driving Permit (IDP), passport, and valid visa. All local riding permits and travel clearances required during the tour are arranged by the tour team.

What level of accommodation and comfort can riders expect?

Accommodation is arranged in 3 Star / Deluxe hotels. All stays are selected for comfort, hygiene, and cultural experience, ensuring international standards of hospitality.

What kind of motorcycle support is provided?

A full mechanical backup team travels with the group. Assistance includes routine checks, on-road repairs, and replacement solutions if required, ensuring a safe and uninterrupted journey.
