Motorcycle Tour Route Details

Day 1 - Arrival at Leh

Leh Altitude - 11500Ft Key Attraction - Leh Hotel

Arrive at Leh Airport (IXL). We will wait for everyone to arrive & depart in group to the hotel. You are advised to take a dosage of Diamox & take rest for the whole day. It is strictly advised not to go out to mitigate altercation of altitude. If you feel any symptom - a headache, nausea or vomiting, inform the team immediately. In the evening, we will gather for orientation and group meet up. Learn all about the road trip in orientation - the roadmap, riding etiquette, pitfalls, & rules followed by bike allocation. Inform the team of any issues on the bike. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Leh Hotel.

Day 2 - Acclimatisation day at Leh

Leh Altitude - 11500Ft Key Attractions - Shanti Stupa, Thiksey monastery, Shey Palace, Magnetic Hill, Indus

Zanskar Confluence After breakfast, assemble around the bikes in parking. Our team will guide to a few places within 30 km range of the city. Upon returning to the city, feel free to explore the Leh city and its numerous monasteries. Go around the market & taste authentic Ladakhi food with salted tea made of Yak milk. Come back to the hotel for dinner in the evening. Overnight at the Hotel at Leh.

Day 3 - Leh - Chang La Pass - Pangong (170 Km)

Leh Alt. - 11500Ft Pangong Alt. - 15280 feet Key Attractions - Kang Yisay, Pangong Lake, Chang La Pass

The day starts with a mix of excitement and nervousness for all including Bollywood enthusiasts. We head towards the next big thing. En route Pangong, you ride uphill on earthen and gravel roads to mighty Chang La (17,580 Ft). From the top, you may catch the glimpse of Kang Yisay top of Hemis National Park. Eventually, it reminds you of how small are you on the earth. You will forget the count of the numerous small water streams on the road, which keeps flooding your mud wrapped bike before you finally reach the lake. Do not stop at every other point to take photos, unless you wish to miss the sunset view at Pangong Lake. Overnight stay at the camp near the Lake. It may not be the same as best places you stayed in past, but remember the fact of how little is produced or manufactured in Ladakh. Probably, each amenity that you enjoy has travelled a thousand km to serve you. So, praise the hardship your host & enjoy an evening soul-searching walk on the beautiful blue lake bank.

Day 4 - Pangong - Shyok - Agham - Nubra Valley (180 Km)

Pangong Alt. - 15280 feet Nubra Alt. - 10080 feet Key Attractions - Karakoram Mountain Range, Shyok River

This is not a joyous day for you if you don't love trading your way in mud & water roads. You face hilly curves at the beginning, accompanied by the roar of Shyok. Look at the mountains across the river on your right side, that would be Karakoram mountain ranges. Sandstorm and rolling stones are very usual, just like Water crossings. Later the river following you will take over your road in the form of a few huge water crossings. If you happen to be lucky sandstorm will further come to greet you. Once you reach the campsite, enjoy the evening with bonfire & music. Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 5 - Nubra - Turtuk - LOC - Nubra (180 Km)

Nubra Alt. - 10080 feet Turtuk Alt. - 10000 feet Key Attractions - Karakoram Mountain Range, Nubra River, Sand Dunes

It is the day when we explore an untouched destination - Turtuk, the only Baltic Town in India; once a part of Pakistan until 1971. Take it as an opportunity to explore the culture and traditions of Baltic People. Do not forget to take a snap with the mighty K2 from the topmost point in Turtuk. Soon after we head to the last Indo Pak border town – Thang which is just 3 km from actual line of control. You have to be there to understand rider's feeling of the farthest village of India. We will return to the Nubra valley in the evening and Visit the dunes famous for its humped Bactrian camel. Overnight at Nubra Camp.

Day 6 - Nubra - Khardung La – Leh (140 Km)

Let's Go! We are leaving to witness a man-made wonder. We will ride on the road above 18000 ft, maintained by Border Road Organisation. Steep turns, low oxygen & weather unpredictability ranks the ride among the most challenging ride. We will make a photo stop at the top for the customary photograph with the landmark board. While you ride for the top of the world, you understand the toll it takes to build a road this altitude. After the joyous celebration, we now ride downhill to catch a breath & some tea at Pullu. Later, we dug-dug further to the Himalayan sand desert. After the joyous celebration, we drive downhill for Kilometers, feels scary while looking at endless downhill roads. The grand road welcomes you back to Leh.

Day 7 - Leh - Morey plains - Pang (180 Km)

Leh Altitude - 11500Ft Pang Altitude - 15280 feet Key Attractions - Morey Plains, Tanglang La

It is time to bid farewell to Leh. Witness colour changing mountains and topography while heading to Upshi riding along the subsidiary river of the Indus river. We are headed towards Pang. You reach Tanglang La after riding 30 Km uphill. You can catch the breath while selfie and social media lovers click photos at the top. Then we will ride towards Moray plains, a part of Tibetan plateau. Go crazy with lenses under the scorching sun on this high plateau. Pang is so remote and cold; it dares you to sleep without socks. Do not waste food here; it is a much-valued luxury. Have a nice warm meal at a unique group tent. Don’t judge the place for the scarce amenities, you may not the heartwarming hospitality even in a five-star hotel. Overnight stay at the dormitory-style transit camp of Pang.

Day 8 - Pang - Sarchu - Keylong (190 Km)

Pang Altitude - 15280 feet Keylong Altitude - 10100Ft Key Attractions - 21 hairpin Ghataloops, Baralachla Pass, Suraj Tal

With breakfast in belly & you on the saddle, we start riding. As the customary goes, Dessert is served at last. You head forward road blockades, landslides, snowfall etc are frequent along the three high altitude passes (16,500 Ft Baralacha high mountain pass, 15,547 Ft Nakila and 16,616 Ft Lachungla Pass). It is less scary than Zoji La, but not less fun. You will not get a chance to be careless, you remember God many times. Roads will turn slightly comforting after Zing Zing Bar. After dinner, you get to lie down on your bed at Keylong hotel.

Day 9 - Keylong - Rohtang – Manali (120 Km)

Manali Altitude - 6700 Ft Keylong Altitude - 10100Ft. Key attractions - Rohtang pass, Sissu & Rahala Waterfal ls

After breakfast, assemble along with the bikes as we depart to explore Himachali beauty. Witness the heart-shaped waterfall en route Keylong. The lush green surrounding is ought to make the ride delightful. You enjoy different colours of beauty in Manali highway, but at times, it reminds you of Ladakh. As if, you enjoy the company of the new girlfriend, but you still miss your ex. The twist and turns on the Rohtang Pass let you enjoy the last drag of the ride. Finally, reach Manali & hand over the bikes to the team. Feel free to go out to party in Old Manali. Overnight at Manali hotel.

Day 10 - Departure

After breakfast, we say bid farewell to each other & cheers the moments of togetherness. Here onwards we leave for our lives and cities.
