Motorcycle Tour Route Details

Day 1 - Arrival at Leh

Leh Altitude - 11500Ft Key Attraction - Leh Hotel

Arrive at Leh Airport (IXL). We will wait for everyone to arrive & depart in four-wheelers to the hotel. You are advised to take a dosage of Diamox & take rest for the whole day. It is strictly advised not to go out to mitigate altercation of altitude. If you feel any symptom - a headache, nausea or vomiting, inform the team immediately. In the evening, we will gather for orientation and group meet up. Learn all about the road trip in orientation - the roadmap, riding etiquette, pitfalls, & rules followed by bike allocation. Inform the team of any issues on the bike. Overnight at Leh Hotel.

Day 2 - Leh Local

Leh Altitude - 11500Ft Key Attractions - Shanti Stupa, Thiksey monastery, Shey Palace, Magnetic Hill, Indus - Zanskar Confluence

After breakfast, assemble around the bikes in parking. Our team will guide to a few places within 30 km range of the city. Upon returning to the city, feel free to explore the Leh city and its numerous monasteries. Go around the market & taste authentic Ladakhi food with salted tea made of Yak milk. Come back to the hotel for dinner in the evening. Overnight at the Hotel at Leh.

Day 3 - Leh - Khardung La- Nubra (150 Km)

Nubra Alt. - 10080 feet Leh Altitude - 11500Ft Key Attractions - Highest Motorable Road, Khardung Village

Let's Go! We are leaving to witness a man-made wonder. We will ride on the road above 18000 ft, maintained by Border Road Organisation. Steep turns, low oxygen & weather unpredictability ranks the ride among the most challenging ride. While you ride for the top of the world, you understand the toll it takes to build a road this altitude. We will make a photo stop at the top for the customary photograph with the landmark board. After the joyous celebration, we now ride downhill to catch a breath & some tea at Pullu. Later, we dug-dug further to the Himalayan sand desert. We will make a stop at Diskit Monastery for prayers. Overnight stay at Nubra Valley campsite or Guesthouse.

Day 4 - Nubra - Turtuk - LOC - Nubra (180 Km)

Nubra Alt. - 10080 feet Turtuk Alt. - 10000 feet Key Attractions - Karakoram Mountain Range, Nubra River, Sand Dunes

It is the day when we explore an untouched destination - Turtuk, the only Baltic Town in India; once a part of Pakistan until 1971. Take it as an opportunity to explore the culture and traditions of Baltic People. Do not forget to take a snap with the mighty K2 from the topmost point in Turtuk. Soon after we head to the last Indo Pak border town – Thang which is just 3 km from actual line of control. You have to be there to understand rider's feeling of the farthest village of India. We will return to the Nubra valley in the evening and Visit the dunes famous for its humped Bactrian camel. Overnight at Nubra Valley.

Day 5 - Nubra Valley - Shyok - Agham - Pangong (180 Km)

Pangong Alt. - 15280 feet Nubra Alt. - 10080 feet Key Attractions - Karakoram Mountain Range, Shyok River

This is not a joyous day for you if you don't love trading your way in mud & water roads. Later the river following you will take over your road in the form of a few huge water crossings. Sandstorm and rolling stones are very usual, just like Water crossings. If you happen to be lucky sandstorm will further come to greet you. Look at the mountains across the river on your right side, that would be Karakoram mountain ranges. You ride along the hilly curves accompanied by the roar of Shyok (River of death). After you reach Durbuk, you will come across many water streams joining the lake. Overnight camp stays at Tangste or Spangmik.

Day 6 - Pangong – Loma – Hanle (220 Km)

Pangong Alt. - 15280 ft Hanle Alt. - 14763 Ft Key Attractions- Pangong Lake, Razang La War Memorial, Chusul War Memorial

You need to start very early on this day. After a photo session at the Pangong Lake of all Karinas and all Aamirs, we head towards the second highest optical telescope in the world. The riding day asks for long hours hence we will take minimal photo stops. Dirt road prevails till Loma and will certainly take huge ride time. Road blockages may lead to route change extending the ride hours by 3 to 5 hours. Riders need to have a mature attitude in such cases and cooperate with the team. We will stop at war memorials only if the Captain finds suitable as we are trying to reach Hanle before Sunset. Overnight stay at homestay at the remotest place. Please expect no luxuries when you enjoy the starry night of remotest Ladakh destination.

Day 7 - Hanle – Chumathang - Leh (220 Km)

Hanle Alt. - 14763 Ft Leh Altitude - 11500Ft Key attractions – Wild horses, Changthang Valley

After a wonderful starry night at the homestay, we leave for Changthang plateau of the Rupshu Valley. You ride on the same road till Loma. You are sure gonna get dirty in the dusty earthen road. You start riding along the beautiful valley of the Indus River till Mahe. the road will turn comfortable to ride with few rough patches surrounded by spectacular brown mountains. En route Leh, you get to see a small but beautiful town of Chumathang. The road width of the road will increase as the river size mammoths. You will reach Leh without hiccups. Overnight at Leh hotel.

Day 8 - Departure Leh

Leh Alt. - 11500Ft  

After breakfast, we meet again to say bid farewell to each other & cheers the moments of togetherness. Our team will bid adieu to you. We will drop in the group to the Airport on a fixed time. Here onwards we leave for our lives and cities with lifetime memories and friends.
